Dave Kilbey Mar 23 - < 1 min read

We’re very excited to announce that we have now launched version 2.0 of Coreo. For the last 12 months we’ve been working closely with you to further develop the capabilities of the Coreo platform. We’re confident that Coreo v2.0 will significantly improve your experience of collecting data in the field. Below we outline what’s new.

What exactly does the new version of Coreo add?

There are 4 main features.  Coreo now supports:

Offline Base Maps

If you need to work offline at a site, you can now save the base map areas you need directly in the Coreo app.

  • Simply view the area you want to save, choose your base map style and download your map.
  • Create as many saved base maps as you need.
Save offline maps

Offline records.

  • View and work with your records whilst completely offline.
  • Your data are saved locally on the device.
  • Simply sync your changes when back online.

Importing your own imagery

  • Coreo v2.0 allows you to import your own imagery as GeoTIFFs.
  • Pull in specialised map images from other sources so you see exactly the data you need when out in the field.
  • Images are spatially accurate meaning that you can add features with confidence.

Custom maps

  • Create custom map layers to visualise your data in ways that are tailored to your project’s requirements.
  • This gives you complete control over the data you see on each map in your projects.
  • Whether it’s red line boundaries, topographical lines or something entirely different, if it’s spatial then you can view it in Coreo.

How do I get v2.0 of the Coreo app?

It’s simple to upgrade to the new version of the app.

Does the new version affect my subscription?

We are providing everyone with access to the new offline features in Coreo for 3 months from the date of launch. So you’ll have plenty of time to try them out and see whether they will be useful for your organisation.

After the first 3 months your access to the new features may change, based on which subscription tier you belong to. Offline records will be available to all tiers in Coreo. However, the ability to save base maps and create custom map layers are part of the Professional tier. See our Pricing page for more information.
