In addition to the introduction of Bing Maps, we are pleased to announce a whole host of enhancements to the UKHab & BNG platform. Built on valuable customer feedback, these latest updates aim to streamline workflows and provide even greater functionality.
Key improvements include:
Enhanced mapping capabilities: The integration of Bing satellite maps offers you access to higher resolution imagery, providing a more detailed view of your project areas. Additionally, the new postcode and area search function allows for quick navigation to specific locations.
Improved red line boundary features: You can now draw multiple areas for red line boundaries. The tool now also automatically handles files that contain multiple records.
Improved data management: The ability to add feature names directly in the UKHab Survey App and sync them to the platform improves data organisation. Furthermore, the platform now supports importing multi-line geometries, making it easier to map features like ditch networks.
Enhanced metric tool options: You can now choose between exporting to the onsite or offsite sheets in the BNG Metric Calculation Tool, as well as choosing to export to the macro-enabled workbook version.
Data-driven insights: Stats now dynamically reflect the filters you have applied, providing more granular information about specific habitats and geometry types.
